BURBANK VS.CHAMINADE
WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Friday.
WHERE: Chaminade High.
RECORDS: The Bulldogs are 1-0; the Eagles are 0-0.
LAST WEEK: Burbank defeated Warren, 41-39; Chaminade didn't play.
OUTLOOK: The Bulldogs had their problems on defense last week, but were able to pull out the victory. The team received a good effort from senior quarterback Adam Colman, who threw the game-winning touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter. Senior running back Ulises Ochoa also did well, scoring three touchdowns. Burbank will be looking to avenge a 17-14 nonleague loss to Chaminade last season, The Eagles began the 2009 campaign with five straight wins, ending the season with a 7-5 record. The team is young and boasts a fine crop of sophomores, some who have transferred in.
SOMETHING INTERESTING: The Bulldogs will play their first five games of the season on the road. The team's first home game at Memorial Field will be Oct. 14 — a Pacific League contest against Hoover.
