Alumni Beats the Varsity!

Last Saturday on April 4 at 7 p.m. I attended the Burbank High School Alumni and Varsity Women's softball game at McCambridge Park. The alumni won 7 to 6 in a close game. The varsity did not have a chance once the alumni coached by Chris Jones put in the alumni ace pitcher Debbie Day from the 1976 class softball champions and Burbank High Athletic Hall of Famer. She struck out the side the first two innings she pitched. But some field errors by the alumni caused some runs to be scored to make it a close game. Every one had a good time and Outback Steakhouse supplied dinner for $10.oo. If you were on the Burbank High School softball teams over the years they are looking for more alumni players for next years game. You can contact the school.

Judith Rosen Hopper BHS 67 Passes Away

For me this is a sad posting as one of my classmates at Burbank High Class of 1967 has passed away according to her brother. Judith Diane Rosen Hopper passed away on March 12, 2009 in Palmdale, California. At this time there is no other details of her death. I remember her as a very sweet girl that was in some of my classes.
